In 2017, Fitness First Middle East identified a need to take group exercise and Personal Training online to improve and enhance existing member experience and create more efficient process for class and PT bookings. Build started on a custom-branded solution in December that year, which evolved to include online services for personal training too. In April 2018, Fitness First had integrated Fisikal across Forty-four clubs in six countries now manage class booking and PT business almost entirely online.
Here, George Flooks, CEO Fitness First Middle East and North Africa, explains how the organisation has enhanced its customer experience and driven such significant engagement.
“Fitness First Middle East operates incredible facilities with a fantastic team of personal trainers and group exercise instructors. Our PT business, which had a record breaking contribution of 32% to total revenue in the month of April, and group exercise business, with utilisation of 60%, were both areas demonstrating incredible performance, and we needed to ensure we had a process to match and maximise the member experience with ease of booking.
Additionally, as we run over 2000 group exercise classes a week, we wanted to introduce an app that would showcase the wide variety available for our members. The app provided the perfect solution to highlight this across all our 59 clubs in 6 countries, as well as allowing a platform that our members who utilise access across our estate could access easily.
What we especially liked about Fisikal was its ability to seamlessly integrate with our existing membership and CRM systems. The platform has also been designed to accommodate regular software updates and new functionality.
Fisikal have helped us further digitalise our business, enhance the member journey through a seamless digital experience and help us build as a business with reporting on usage and performance. Our operational efficiencies have increased thanks to no longer relying on being a paper based business and the new platform effectively highlights our group exercise offering as well as our PT talent, their qualifications and their specialisations.
